 In the first clip, they use ambient lighting to create a dark and creepy atmosphere. They did this to give a dull look to emphasize the horror of the clip. In the first clip, the makeup of the clown was extremely bold and artificial, with his face  painted white and red elements  on his face that could symbolize blood and death. However, in the second clip, the makeup of the teenagers was natural and the kind that people wear every day. It further describes a normal and relaxed atmosphere. 

 

 another clip, a closet is used to show the clown's exit. It creates an eerie feeling because it shows the abnormal and the grotesque. There are also broken chairs and tables, which can indicate violence and danger. But the TV and paint are used as props in clip 2.
