  This image is low key lighting as the surroundings are dark, which also means top lighting must be used as only her face is clear in the picture. Furthermore, the use of top lighting creates a sense of mystery and suspense as you cannot see the rest of her surroundings and we are unaware of what she is looking at. This image is high-key lighting as there is much more colour and the features on the person are clear. I believe that top lighting has been used as you can see the image clearly and it is bright rather than dark. This suggests that he is an important character maybe a king due to the crown.
